Logistics & Ethical Guidelines
Visitors must never touch, grab, or chase the turtles. Interactions are strictly supervised to ensure the turtles remain comfortable and stress-free. We promote gentle observation and swimming alongside them.
The price includes return transport from your hotel, entrance and conservation fees, a life jacket (optional), and use of basic snorkel gear (mask/snorkel).
The most popular and established sites are the Baraka Natural Aquarium or the Nungwi Mnarani Aquarium, both located on the northern tip of Zanzibar Island.
The turtles in the lagoon are rescued, rehabilitated, and released. They are semi-wild, meaning they are accustomed to the lagoon environment while awaiting their full release back into the ocean.
