Deep Sea Charter Logistics
The peak fishing season for billfish (Marlin, Sailfish) runs from November to March, coinciding with the short rains and hotter weather. However, good catches of Tuna and Wahoo are possible year-round.
The price typically includes the boat charter, fuel, all necessary fishing tackle and bait, experienced crew/skipper, non-alcoholic beverages (water, soda), and sometimes packed lunch for full-day trips.
Most big game fishing charters depart from the northern tip (Nungwi/Kendwa) or the north-east coast (Matemwe) to access the Pemba Channel quickly, though other options are available depending on your hotel location.
Sunscreen (high SPF), a hat, polarized sunglasses, sea-sickness medication (if needed), and a camera to capture your trophy fish. We recommend light, protective clothing.
